Drug dealer's leafy supply dries up

It was a privelige to be able to pray for Carlisle council, the local drugs situation, schools, the homeless and the local Polish initiatives amongst other things.

Mark Travers talk was absorbing, informative and inspiring for us in prayer. He described the local situation and its needs; the M6 connection and gangs supplying from larger cities to Carlisle. He described the 'tip of the iceberg' problem; and encouraged us to pray about the drug dealers and to protect the up and coming generations.

Within an hour of the meeting finishing God was at work...

When we prayed on Tuesday June 23rd for people with drug problems, I also prayed for one of my friends, who not only has a problem with drugs, but has been selling cannabis as well. I was supposed to see her yesterday (Wednesday), but couldn't get hold of her all day. When we finally did meet up, she told me she had been busy, as there had been four raids in Newcastle (that's where everyone's supply comes from, coz they can't get it here), on the Tuesday night, and that now her drug supply would be so low, that she cant sell it anymore, and will have to restrict her intake. I was so pleased, I just had to tell her why it had happened. Thankfully we're still friends! I know God answers prayer, but even so, i was delighted to see it happening so quickly. Isn't God amazing. Naturally! :o)
